In modern society, everything moves so quickly we can tend to get caught up in a bit of a whirlwind.
At no point in history has everything been pretty much accessible as easily acquired as it is now.
We can literally get most things at the click of a button.
But this, (unfortunately), doesn’t correspond with health and fitness.
Unfortunately, there is no quick fix to lose weight or build muscle, however, there are more efficient ways to do so.
I see numerous people start a new health and fitness journey with truckloads of determination and motivation, only to lose their way slightly a week or two into the new training and nutritional regime.
And this is usually due to one thing……….A lack of motivation because they cannot see instant results.
So, my advice to you is to keep persevering for at least 1 month. And in 1 month, if you have been eating well and exercising effectively, you WILL see results.
It does take time, and a whole lot of patience, but trust me when I say that it does get easier, and when you start to see results, motivation will take over and the ball will be well and truly rolling.
Something I ask all of my clients to do is to take a progress picture to help the actually visibly see the progress. As you see yourself every day, it can be very difficult to see progression, so by taking a photograph of yourself at the start of your new progress, as well as after 4 weeks, will show you just how far you have come without even noticing yourself.
Also, by not focusing on weighing yourself every day can help. When you weigh every day, and you don’t see much change in weight each day, it can de-motive a person. So, stay off the scales until the 4-week period, and see the huge gulf in weight loss.
Measurements of waist can also be an effective way. Using a tape measure, measure from your belly button around your waist and write it down. Then in 4 weeks, do it again, and write it down. Repeat this every 4 weeks or so to see the fantastic progress.
So, these are some good ways to keep track and keep you accountable for your training.
Please don’t get disheartened when in search of your dream body. Keep patient, keep working hard, keep eating well and most importantly of all #STAYSTRONG.
