Busting Myths for Fun Series – You ONLY have 30 minutes to eat after a workout to feed your muscles

‘Bro Science’ states that you need to get that precious protein to your muscles within a 30-minute window or all of your hard work goes to waste. This is party true. You need protein to help your muscles recover and grow. But you dint need to worry about consuming it so soon after a workout.

Aim to have a good level of protein in each meal throughout the day. If you’re training effectively and often enough, your muscles will be receptive to the protein most of the time. Aim for 1.6-2g of protein per KG of body weight per day to help your body recover and grow.
