Achieve Anything!!

OK, so you’re struggling with your training. You’re seriously lacking in motivation and ‘can’t be bothered to go to the gym tonight. I’ll watch game of thrones instead’. Is this you? If so, you are not alone. Everybody has been there at some point, myself included. The key to overcoming this is simple, but difficult at the same time. That may sound ridiculous to most of you, but the simple changes you need to tweak to achieve the success you need will take work. Here, I have come up with a few ways in which you can achieve what you want……

Set Goals

Goal setting is the first way to motivate yourself to become successful. This may be in health and fitness, or any other walk of life. By setting goals for yourself you are giving yourself a target to achieve within a certain time frame. This creates urgency and drive like nothing else.

Get into the habit of writing down your goals for the next day the night before. That way, when you wake up, you will be ready to attack the day. Don’t just stick to daily goals either. Sure, these are the steps needed to achieve bigger and better things, but also set yourself longer term goals that coincide with your ultimate vision. That way you know your daily goals are taking you somewhere.

Aim High. Set huge goals. By aiming for the stars, if you just fall short of your main aim, you are still a great deal further than when you started.

Writing down your goals is a sure-fire way to motivate yourself by feeling a sense of self accomplishment as you reach your daily goals, and ultimately the main goal.

Create a belief system

Every ‘successful’ person will see all have one hugely important trait in common. They believe in themselves. They believe in what they are doing and where they are going. They have a clear vision for the future and their goal and won’t stop working until they get there.

This is what you need to do to become successful, and this is one of the hardest things to achieve. You will need 100% clarity and belief in your goals and where you are going. If somebody asks you what your life goals and ambitions are, have confidence in them. If you are insecure about these, then you will inevitably make insecure decisions further down the line. Be determined, believe in yourself and people will respect you for chasing what you desire.

The key to self-belief is to imagine and visualise your goals. Much like athletes do before a race or event, they tend to run the race in their mind before physically doing so. This technique is fantastic for motivating and instilling confidence. Imagine you have already achieved your goals and be certain that you will accomplish them. By constantly repeating over and over again in your head that you will succeed, you will create something called neutral pathways within the brain. Your mind actually cannot tell the difference between this and reality, and with this new-found certainty, you can work backwards and find ways to make it happen.

Investing in Yourself

This is HUGE.

During life we are constantly learning new things. Every day, whether consciously or subconsciously, we are learning and growing and adapting.

However, to become a success in whatever it is you want, you need to stand out from the crowd. This doesn’t mean dye your hair pink or get a face tattoo, this means you need to invest in your health and education……

Get to the gym

By working out you will release endorphins that make you feel fantastic. You only need a 30 – 45-minute workout to start seeing the benefits of exercise. Your energy levels will soar, and you will automatically become more productive.

Eat better

By consuming healthy, whole foods, (none of the processed rubbish), you will again feel more energised, and in turn more productive. The human body actually regenerates itself from the food you eat. So, the better quality the food, the better you will look and feel. It’s simple. Your skin will look great. Your teeth, hair, eyes and internal organs will also thank you for fuelling them with highly nutritious foods.

Treat yourself

Yes, this is needed. Every now and again treat yourself to a night out or do something that makes you feel alive. This will alleviate stress and allow you to refocus when you get back to the task in hand.

The main thing here guys, is just to believe in the path you are taking. Keep on going, even when times get tough, (which they will), and push through. If becoming successful was easy, everybody would be doing it, so push on through and reap the rewards.
