To achieve the body of your dreams, just lose 1KG

When anyone comes to me, as a personal trainer, and asks me for help, I always ask them what their goals are.

Usually, (not always), this question is met with the response “I want to lose weight”. More specifically sometimes “I want to lose 3 stone” for example.

Great, someone has a goal, a target, and they want to achieve it.

So, what now?

Well, setting a target like that is all well and good, but what happens when you start to lose motivation when the scales don’t change one week?

Or even goes up?

What happens then?

Or…what happens when you hit that target relatively quickly, (by eating next to nothing and working out 7 days a week for 2 hours at a time), but then the weight piles back on as soon as you start eating regular food again, and don’t exercise as much. What happens then?

Well, both of those issues more than likely will arise. But there is a way to avoid that.

And it’s simple.

All you need to do is adjust your lifestyle, whether that is being more active, drop your calories, improve your sleep, and aim to lose ‘just’ 1KG in weight. That’s the goal. To lose 1KG.

Seems too easy?

Then, using the knowledge you have gained from losing the 1KG, knowing what you did with your exercise, and how you changed your nutrition, repeat!

Aim to lose another 1KG. Just another solitary 1KG in weight.

When you hit that target, repeat again.

Can you see where I’m going with this.

Keep hitting the 1KG weight loss.

Keep repeating the process that worked for you by losing the first KG.

Before you know it you’ve lost 7KG (about 1 stone in weight), without starving yourself or overexerting yourself in the gym.

SUSTAINABILITY is so crucial to lose weight/body fat and keep it off.

The 1KG method, repeated, can create not only a sustainable way to lose body fat, but also one that doesn’t make you miserable and tired.

So, simply put.

Aim to lose 1KG.

Repeat the process.

And eventually you will hit your overall goal.

Don’t get out of the blocks too fast.

Don’t worry about weight fluctuations.

Just keep consistent with losing that 1KG, and you will hit your target, and more importantly, maintain it.
